Amy gave Mya her first pair of Nike running shoes for her birthday! Amy runs track and has some just like these, we think it's cute! |
Words cannot express the love we have for Mya's birth mom! She has become a part of our family. We love her as much as we love Mya and can't imagine our situation without her. Amy has been so fun to have in our lives and we will be forever grateful for her loving sacrifice! We love having an open adoption with her. She always comes over whenever she's in town. Sometimes her amazing Mom and Dad come by too and we really look forward to any time spent with them. We love hearing all of Amy's crazy army/college life stories. This last visit she told us how she pretty much drowned in one of her classes and had to be revived...yes crazy but true!!!!!! She's also an amazing athlete and we love hearing about her meets, she just took 2nd place in their conference championships. We only wish we could go watch her compete, we hope to be able to see her in that element before she graduates in a few years. We think she's pretty much a rockstar and we feel so blessed to have her in our lives. We also feel like staying close to Amy will be a huge benefit for Mya as she grows up. We can't get enough of her! Right now Amy is attending college in New York making her dreams come true!! We are so proud of her and want her to succeed in everything she does. We wish she was closer but love that we have a great excuse to go visit NYC! She's the coolest :) We plan to do our best in raising Mya and give her every opportunity to be amazing. We feel a great desire to make Amy proud!
